Rio de Janeiro – Final Day
Day 24 · 7 March 2026
After three and a half unforgettable weeks in South America, our final day was spent enjoying a slower pace beside the beaches of Rio de Janeiro. The tropical heat made any serious sightseeing difficult, so we made the most of our late checkout with a gentle morning walk along the waterfront before heading to the airport for our late afternoon flight home.
Our Final Day
With check-out at midday and our flight not departing until later that afternoon, we had a couple of hours to spare before leaving for the airport. Rather than venture back out into the midday heat, we decided to stay close to the hotel and enjoy a leisurely final lunch on the hotel's terrace. Relaxing in the shade while looking out over Copacabana Beach provided the perfect opportunity to reflect on our time in Rio before collecting our luggage and heading to the airport.
